me & bigfoot at Camp 18 in Oregon

I was born and raised in rural Plymouth, Wisconsin. I grew up on lots of acreage, surrounded by trees, animals (2 horses, 4 dogs, 22 cats, some rabbits), birds, grass, thunderstorms... and the occasional excitement of a tornado. With the Mammoth Ice Age Center close by, I was fascinated by science from a young age. I realized I liked to draw as well, dragging my pencils and paper into the woods with me.

Today I proudly call beautiful and green Portland, Oregon, my home. Here I am surrounded by trees, animals, birds, grass, mountains – wait, I'm sorry, make that volcanoes – no thunderstorms but lots of rain... Now I drag my pencils to and from my studio and home. But I draw most everything on the computer these days.

I like the colors orange, ochre, pale blue and olive green.
I want to go into space one day and take snapshots of the earth from above.
I would like to go to Antarctica, or the Arctic to experience an unending view of white.
I think Alaska is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.
I live for good humor. If you don't like The Simpsons, shame on you. I've dumped boyfriends over this.
I prefer to see movies alone.
I'm more of a cat person than a dog person.
I love to travel and still take pics with film when do.
I do enjoy a good road trip.
I love collaborating with other artists.
Jaws is my favorite movie of all time.
OPB, NPR, and KEXP kick ass.
I don't have a rep. I do it all by myself. All of it. No, I don't sleep.
I think BRMC is the best band to see live.
I work fast and efficiently. I think it stems from working in factories during college.
I am easily distracted by Facebook. Damn you, Facebook. I love you... I hate you.
The same goes for you, Bejewled Blitz!
I like making people smile with what I create.
